I just upgraded to GBPVR 1.2.9 which includes EWA74. I was previously using EWA release 62 (yeah... ancient history). Previously with the Advanced Episode Search, the results seemed to be sorted by Channel... now (with EWA74) they seem to be sorted by Air Date.

My question is whether I can get the old sorted order (by channel) somehow... I don't see any alternative sort control that would give me this. I know that some of EWA CSS stuff is for IE7 (and I only have IE6) but wasn't sure if I just have to "suck it up and live with it". I did a quick search of the forum for other discussions about this but came up at a dead end.

Thanks.

You should be able to set your search result order in either the Table View or Tree View (more options with tree) in either that standard table based screens or the css based screens.

Which are you using?

Sorry, should have stated more info in my original post.

I'm using Table view w/ standard table based screens. With table view (my preference), I don't see any options to sort results... but the old (EWA62) default sort order worked well for me (by channel) whereas the new default order seems to be by airdate. With tree view the sort order radio buttons do appear (as they always have) although "by channel" isn't one of the choices (nor has it ever been that I'm aware of).

Sort by channel allows be to quickly find alternate times for a particular re-broadcast.

Interesting....looks like I broke something.... :o

In the table view the column titles should be click able and should sort in that order......I'll have to see what I messed up and fix that.

Me again....now that I looked back at the old code base I see search results did not support the column sorting like manage recordings does.....

I'll have to play around and see if there was a specific reason for not having the column sort in search results....my guess is there was.....but if that is not possible I should at least be able to get it back to be in channel order....

That would be cool.

Having channel order in at least one of the views (e.g. Table view) allows me to quickly see when a particular show has multiple re-broadcast date/times -- allowing me to pick a non-primetime slot for recording.

If it's not possible anymore to have the "old" default order, having an additional option to sort the tree view by channel would be a reasonable alternative -- I assume that might be feasible since tree view already has other sort options.

Believe it or not I think you uncovered another bug.....the css tree view has a channel sort option but the table view does not...... Smile
