QT Trailers Audio

Anyone having a problem w/ the audio in Quicktime *.mov trailers? I have the video woring fine, and the audio working in the QT plaer, but it won't play through GB.

I have tried both Apple and QTLite newest installs.

My computer knowledgeable friends think that it is a case of quicktime not being directed to the correct sound card (I formerly had 2 sound cards and took the one that wasn't part of the motherboard out when I had other sound problems). I tried reinstalling quicktime but I still have my problem.

Have you tried playing with the QT prefs through Control Panel icon? I notice there is an audio tab...

I think it has to do with the latest versions... I had problems with one of the newer versions, and I had to roll back to an older version in order to get it to work within GBPVR.

I did try playing w/ the audio panel, even setting it to safe mode, but nothing. It plays in the player just fine, so I'm assuming it seeing the right card.

I'll need to see if I can find an older QT install, but I suspect they don't make them available. Maybe I can find an older QTLite. I had an older one in there, but the problem was it wasn't new enough to play the video.

If anyone has a version # for either that plays fine, pls post here.

oldversion.com might have some copies.

go into control panel and select your sound card, then check 'only use preferred device' so it won't use the second card at all...[if you have 2..modems with sound show up too]
that is if that's the problem...
by qt lite i assume you mean qt alternative? if not then try alternative..it usually works...but sometimes the trailers use newer version soon as it comes out..
i would check other trailers and also see what audio codec they use from within qt player...that may be the problem...
oh and you can also see what gbpvr is trying to do with them in the logs or lastgraph.grf.
