i got a hvr 4000 cause it does both dvb-t andf dvb-c (not at the same time)
reason been unless you have a dualcore/and a grunty video card or better i think any system will have issues playing back the dvb-t stuff
my server is only 2800sempron (1.7ghz)
but because it can do both then i can use it untill i upgrade and play with the dvb-t stuff for now

hvr2200 is another card to look at its a pci-e twin dvb-t tuner also does analog so it would be a good choice aswell for prime

thanks for the reply - so you think my system wouldnt handle the hd recorded content ?

i realise i might need a newer video card but im limited with the amount of space i have in my case. if horsepower is going to be an issue i might just look at the Nova T 500 but is there much of a difference in the quality of the files being recorded vs my pvr 150's ?

I dont think either of those machines would be able to handle it.

personally im happy with dvb-s way sharper than anything you get from the pvr150
as for dvb-t its still early days so i wouldnt go putting all my eggs in that basket yet
its HD but alot of the content will just be up scaled so all your getting is just big files with no actual gain in picture quality

video card will need to be something like a 2400HD or 8500 or better
