I have the Pinnacle PCTV HD PCI card and would like to get it working with GBPVR. I just want gbpvr to use the analog line in of the card though, no real TV, no program guide. I have a satellite dish with a set top box.

I have searched the forums here and the only thing I can see is that I have to setup EPG whether or not I want to use it. Is there a way to get GBPVR to just turn on the line in when I hit the "live TV" button?

If that won't work with this particular card, can someone suggest a USB or half height PCI solution that will work?

Thanks
Neteng

Unforuntaly the analog side of this device isnt usable with GB-PVR since it lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

are there any cards with video in that are known to work with gbpvr? can't really tell by looking at the supported cards list.

Cards like the Hauppauge HVR1600/HVR1800 are a common choice, and can be used with GB-PVR for recording from composite/svideo etc.

ummm one of those is full height and the other is PCI-E. Neither of those will work in my system.

Thanks for the help Sub, You have the best Media Center Software out there by a long shot. One day I will find a capture card that fits too.

The PVR150 is analog only, but comes with a low profile model available.

The new HVR2250 is dual analog/digital, and low profile, but is PCI-e.
