Lately I've been burning a lot of DVDs to DVD-RW discs because a friend's VCR is broken, they don't have a DVR or HTPC, and they just can't miss Beauty and the Geek every week. Smile

The problem is every time I burn a DVD, ImgBurn stops and asks me if I really want to overwrite the existing data. I don't see this prompt because I think imgburn is started in the background, or maybe its just the MVPServerChecker plugin also ensures the gb-pvr always have the screen focus, thus hiding the imgburn prompt. Either way, would it be possible to have imgburn started with an overwrite parameter so it never prompts?

I suppose some might want such an option configurable, but for me I'd just rather have it start burning and be done with it.

Also, since I'm already making one request, would it be possible to configure the auto-eject burner feature too? I personally don't like the auto-eject option since my HTPC resides within a cabinet and with the down closed, the ejected drawer hits my cabinet interior.

Anyway, thanks again for this awesome plugin. I consider it an essential.

Go to "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\burndvd\imgburn.exe".
Select tools,Settings, and have a look around. I believe the settings I changed where here

Thanks Dark-Half. I guess it's a testament to how easy BurnDVDX2 is that it never even occurred for me to look in the imgburn default settings.

thanks for the tip!

let me know if that works.
The command line for imgburn is
start /wait /min "Imgburn" "C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party\BurnDVD\ImgBurn.exe" /overwrite yes /VOLUMELABEL "GBPVRDVD" /MODE ISOBUILD /BUILDMODE DEVICE /SRC "%dvdtemp%\VIDEO_TS" /NOIMAGEDETAILS /VERIFY NO /DEST D: /FILESYSTEM "ISO9660 + UDF" /SPEED MAX /NOIMAGEDETAILS /ROOTFOLDER YES /RECURSESUBDIRECTORIES YES /CLOSE /LOG "C:\temp\BurnDVD\imgburn.log" /START /CLOSE /NOSAVESETTINGS /EJECT /WAITFORMEDIA

Which would seem to force the eject.

Pastro,

I'm guessing you meant to say you thought that command line would force overwrite, which was my complaint. And indeed, you'd sure think so given the command line.

I haven't tried a new burn with the don't prompt settings yet, but I will soon. If it doesn't work, you can be sure I'll post back. But regardless, you'd think that command line option would do it, but it doesn't for me anyway.

Thanks again for the great piece of software.

Actually I was talking about the eject, but I did notice the overwrite also but I didn't think that applies to the prompt for overwrite. I think that just says whether you are allowed to overwrite existing files or not. Anyway I suspect the eject command switch will override anything you set in the settings menu, but let me know what you find.
