Pending Recordings Overlay on Video or Live TV

Currently pressing F1 in either Live TV or Video playback brings up a small guide at the bottom of the screen. In a multi channel world you can't really use this to check what you already have set - only see whats on an maybe record that.

What would be awsome would be a similar thing but with a list of pending recordings. Currently, if I'm watching something (usually something I've recorded) and I want to check I've flaged CSI to record or whatever, or I want to see what I've got pending that evening, I have to esc out, go to recording etc then navigate back to the video and resume. A small on screen window listing Pending recordings woul really be usefull. Either F8 or someother shortcut

Anyone feel this would be a hand thing?

While you're watching a video you should be able to press 'home' to return to the menu with the video playing in a small window. You can then go to the recordings screen. You can press 'home' a couple of times to return to the fullscreen video.

Thinking about it, a shortcut or hotkey direct to Pending would be a handy feature - for everyday navigating and recording as much as anything else.

Sorry, there is no shortcut to take you to the pending screen. I find myself using the 'whats new' and 'ready' lists much more often than the 'pending' list. I dont really think any of these justify a shortcut key though.

Fair enough.
I use the pending list quite a bit but I understand use varies depending on people and setup. It was just a thought.

what would be nice, would be a pop-up a few minutes before a recording starts if a tuner is about to start recording, rather than it just dropping you straight out as it does presently - which doesnt go down well if the missus is watching shortland street + the tuner goes to record another channel, cutting the show short by a few minutes.

I know this is a late reply but in the "Settings" plugin, you can set the default recordings view to "Pending" (last option under "General") then use "F8" to jump to the Recordings screen. It will automatically display the pending recordings.
