I tried the 1540 filters (standalone_filters-svn1540_x86), registered MPCVideoDec.ax and Mpeg2DecFilter.ax, and .ts h.264 files don't play in GB-PVR for me.

I'm going to try it here later today, but I going on the assumption it isnt going to work, and my official line will be: "the MPC-HC is missing the 'access unit parser' that other H.264 decoders have, so isnt compatible with the majority of demultiplexers, including the Microsoft Demultiplexer used by GB-PVR. Hopefully the MPC-HC project will address that limitation in the future."

Yeah, 1557 didn't work for me either on H.264. I could get the filter to connect but it crashed as soon as playback started.

MPEG2 acceleration is supposed to be working in 1559 but they didn't have a build posted at the time I looked.

fixes:
# Fixed : incorrect decoding with Mpeg2 bitstream decoder on video with alternative scan;
# Fixed : send raw qscale in DXVA Mpeg2;

note, this probably needs a card with "MPEG2 VLD" decoder on board...[newer nvidia cards[9xxx+ 2xx+]
i haven't seen which ati offerings have one, if any...[probably 5xxx's]
you can check it with dxva checker..

and geez, the ffdshow latest is the lowest h264 cpu use i've seen...no errors either on even my agp card...sweet..Smile
glad to see some movement in dxva area for an alternative to pay codecs..
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie
