Hi,

what would be the preferred way to resume video playback from a plugin? I tried something using the MediaHelper in native utilities, but this only seems to work in vmr9 here, not on the mvp or when using evr.

Thanks in advance

There isnt any specific API exposed for doing this. When you use the PlayVideoFile() method, if the user has 'prompt for resume' enabled though, they should get the normal resume prompt shown. If this doesnt meet your needs though, I should be able to add something.

yes, that would be great.

Either something to directly resume the playback (that automatically fetches the playback position in the background), or to define the start position when starting video playback.

Thanks again

Sub, as a note if the resume is going to work on the NMT, it is going to need to be reworked because it is implemented as an alpha channel OSD over running video.

Yeah, I know the over video prompt would need to be changed. No point worrying about doing that until Sybas make some progress on the resume stuff though.
