Hi,

Last version of SeacrhWiz that I had(few months ago), if I remember correctly allowed user to click on the the show once the search is complete. Then it would bring up a screen with shitload of info (actors, synopsis, ratings, etc.).
However the version I have now doesn't do that. If i click on the show in the middle part of the screen nothing happens is that something that has been removed or do I have an issue?

That function still exists. If you reproduce the problem, then zip and post your pvrx2.exe.log file, I'll take a look.

There is a setting in the config.xml file in the SearchWizardX2 section named ImdbLookupGenres. Mine is configured as follows:

<ImdbLookupGenres>Movie|Film|Series</ImdbLookupGenres>

The genres listed in this setting will allow an IMDB lookup for the show selected. Make sure the target genres are listed (delimited by the pipe character '|').

Next version of the code, I will allow you to manage this entry via the plugin config program.

My setting is the same setting as yours....It's not like I get a blank info for the show. I don't even get the popup that is supposed to have that info:/...

Does the show fall into one of the three categories listed? If it does not, then that dialog will not display. It must have a genre of one or more of Movie, Film or Series.

Yes, that was the problem...Is it possible to somehow make SearchWiz look into my EPG for program genres/types so I get the most info? Thank you!

If you make the following change to the config.xml, SearchWiz will attempt to lookup ANY program regardless of Genre. The item will be found in the SearchWizardX2 section.

From:

<ImdbLookupGenres>[B]Movie|Film|Series[/B]</ImdbLookupGenres>

To:

Code:

<ImdbLookupGenres>[B]No Genre Filter[/B]</ImdbLookupGenres>

The next version of SearchWiz will allow you to control this setting from within the config program.

Thank you, that solved my problem! Is there is reason "No Genre Filter" is not a default setting?

Imdb (and the other sources) do not contain information on all shows (ie sports, talk shows, etc...). I believe this was especially true for many shows outside the US, so I included this feature to limit the lookups to the most likely genres for everyone.
