ive been playing around with a widescreen skin (852x480), ive got it work pefect on weather,myvids,mymus,mypics (all the ones ive worked on ), but other things seem to have the 720x480 hardcoded in places, all that needs to be changed to allow for widescreen skins is instead of 720 and 480 hardcoded, is backgroundimage.width and backgroundimage.height, this will allow for any dimension for skins. heres a screen shot


ive tested in on the 350 and it looks fine. things i know need to be altered: main menu, tv guide, recordings, search tv guide, fastfind

the tv guide it would also be nice if you could adjust the bounds of the well tv guide, keep the 2 hours fixed, but for widescreen you could strectch it out about 120 pixels more allow for more information to be displayed. this is a quick fix, so i hope sub you can include this in the next release (well at least the backgroundimage.width/height fix).

ok. I'll use the size of the "background" composite image to set the size.
