TV Friendly Skins

Hi all,

To start with - Great product - please keep up the excellent work.

One suggestion for improvement - any chance of making some of the skins slightly more "tv friendly"? I'm using the Flat Blue with an MVP and it's very difficult to see which folder/file is actually selected. Even if it can be adjusted to something akin the "net radio" function (green background when item highlighted) would be a serious improvement!

hmm...I actually thought they were TV friendly.

Anyway, you welcome to modify the font sizes etc to create your own skin. If you make a TV friendly skin, send it over and I'll make it available to others on the website.

I have a similar problem as Mike - my TV is only a 29", and seeing as one of my couches is about 20 feet away from it, I am finding a couple of tweaks to the "Flat Blue" scheme necessary so that I don't have to use my projector all the time.

I am doing some work on the scheme now, and will submit it once I've got it finished to my satisfaction. Meanwhile, I suspect that Mike is talking about the difficulty in distinguishing between selected and non-selected large folder/file icons. I have of course made the difference more obvious on my skin, but as an interim fix, he could try "list" mode instead (the blue button on the MVP remote/Ctrl-B) which can of course be set as the default in the config xml.

Hi Simon,

Yup, you are absolutely spot on with regards my selection problem.

I didn't know about the list mode. Unfortunately, my MVP is now with Hauppauge - second D3 unit blown. Once the new one arrives I'll give the list mode a try.
