Hello all! New GB-PVR user here.
A friend just loaned (and will hopefully sell) me a PVR-150. It works great with GB-PVR so I just need some help tweaking my auto-conversion profile for my Creative Zen.
My main purpose for using GB-PVR is to record the shows the rest of my family doesn't watch with me and have GB-PVR auto-convert them so I can just copy them to my Zen and watch them.
I've edited the config.xml based upon some Zen ffmpeg settings I found on another forum. I've added a Zen 4:3 option:
<Conversion name="Zen 4:3" cmd="-y -i {SOURCE_FILE} -r 29.97 -vcodec xvid -vtag XVID -s 320x240 -aspect 4:3 -maxrate 1800k -b 1500k -qmin 3 -qmax 5 -bufsize 4096 -mbd 2 -bf 2 -flags +4mv+trell -aic 2 -cmp 2 -subcmp 2 -g 300 -acodec mp3 -ar 48000 -ab 128k -ac 2 {DEST_FILE}" targetExtension=".avi" />
I've reviewed the source MPEG recorded and it is perfect start to finish, no a/v synch issues. The auto-convert works great with the above settings and the video and audio quality are great, but after the first couple minutes the audio starts lagging behind the video by about 1/2 to 3/4 a second.
Any ideas? If I can get the a/v synch issue resolved things will be perfect!
TIA
