you have the same problem I first had, as mentioned you need to set the aspect ratio to that of you screen, so if you monitor is not widescreen then set to 4x3.

Then when viewing press F7 to set the correct ratio for what you are watching.

Ok, done that, set it to 16:9 and 16:10... it looks MUCH better now, but it still stretches somewhat. Also the playback is a bit jerky... maybe I need to change the renderer...
