New Hauppauge Remote

I will be receiving the new hauppauge remote for the WinTV-PVR-250 tomorrow (I hope). What do I need to do to install it so that it will operate with the GBPVR?

I am hoping that this new remote will allow me to control playback functions which go to my TV via my Xcard.

It should just work. You shouldnt need to reinstall anything. It'll just behave like the older remote though.

like sub said: the new remote will only have as much functionality in gbpvr as the old one did. he hasn't worked the new buttons into the program yet.

as for controlling X-Card output (i'm assuming you are referring to the options that the XCard Remote w/ included player has for playback control) good luck! I have yet to see any application w/ widely supported XCard functionality. even TVedia/jove player (which is $60 software and has been out and continuously under development since shortly after the Xcard came out) doesn't support all of the features I'd like. (adjustable vol control. video resizing to fix incorrect aspect ratio divx files, among other things)
