Using 1.3.7 live TV displays in 16x9 even though I have Television Shape set to 4x3 on the Playback tab of the configuration program. How can I get live TV to display in 4x3?

Does F7 change anything?
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Bazsl, ensure you have configured a specific MPEG-2 Video Decoder in the Config application. If you haven't, then GBPVR will not attempt to manage the aspect ratio.

On the Playback tab I changed Video Decoder and Audio Decoder to MPEG Video Decoder and MPEG Audio Decoder respectively. That did not solve the problem.

I have not had a chance to try F7 yet but will do so later today and report the result.

Bazsl, what does the video look like? Is it showing as full screen? Or is it just a little wider than you expect? F7 needs to be at either Auto or PillarBox for you to get output similar to 4x3.

Please read this post if your screen is 16:9 and you have set GBPVR to use 16:9.

Playing with F7 got me to the correct aspect ratio with black pillars on both sides. Thanks.
