Yep, I do believe that's what's happening but when talking to Cox to try to get a list of QAM channels (a whole other story!) they tell me that's impossible that only the person requesting the video can see it. I think they are looking at my account and see I have cable cards as well and they think that's what I'm talking about and not another tuner. They aren't trained to listen when you call.
I miss the Sopranos, especially the booby parts. Big Grin

That's exactly what is happpening. I understand that even VOD porn is delivered this way...

The fast forward, was a customer shuttling around....

If it's like my cable company, they just aren't trained. It's 'make it up as you go', and of course it doesn't make sense that a path would be available to the public, so it makes sense that someone would say it can't happen. But, knowing from the inside, that's what is happening..

I have seen some of the 'after hours' channels come thru and real funny part is that whoever is paying/viewing it, was fast forwarding thru the talking parts. Big Grin None of those channels seemed to stay on the air that long.
I just posted in another area that I called Cox to ask for a list of QAM and was told they don't support it so I guess there is no law saying they have to. I'm still learning much about QAM and am as lost as ever.

I just installed an HVR-1600 and I am trying to get it to record both inputs.
The analog loaded just fine. But, I don't know (what I am doing) how to get the second input working. I tried the digital settings and for both HVR-1600 QAM and HVR-1600 ATSC I could not get the digital channels to map. I got an error message "GBPVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured, etc"
Should I have selectedthe High def Analog?
Can anyone with both working offer some guideance.
I am using a split brighthouse cable feed for both.

Zip and post your config*.log files (make sure you include the "-native" files) after reproducing the error. It probably wouldn't hurt to run filtercheck.exe located in the GBPVR program folder and zip and post the resulting filtercheck.log as well.

When I posted in this thread I forgot to mention that my 1600's only get qam from comcast with the drivers from the 3.4d1 cd download. I only get a couple channels with the latest drivers. I just had to reformat for a new motherboard and remembered this after installing the latest drivers. I uninstalled, went back to the older drivers and all my qam channels are back.
