Just done this:
Cloned my D drive (recordings) to an eSATA disk using Acronis TrueImage,
Swap the disks - cloned new disk becomes the internal D drive;
Run PVRX2 - no recordings!

All the recordings are present and correct on the new hard disk which is an exact copy and the same drive letter as the old one, it just has 500GB more space.

So PVRX2 has lost contact with the recordings folder. Why?

I can swap the old disk back in (hassle - lots of screws etc), dump the recordings, swap them over again, import the recordings,. That's a pain - is there something I can do to get them back?

I assume that before you had mapped this new drive, GBPVR had looked for the recordings listed in it's database and could nbot find them.

There is a configuration setting which defaults to remove entries from the database if the file no longer exists.
I would suggest looking in your GBPVR folder for a recordings-dump.xml -I think it gets generated at each EPG update. (or something like that - check the date / time of the file)

In config, go to the plugins tabs and click on the import recordings button and point it to that file and everything will be back as it was (as long as the files exist on the same folder under the same drive letter as they did before your upgrade)

You may want to check the XML file to make sure before you import it.

Yes, be quick to save a copy of the recordings dump file - it gets overwritten when the EPG does it's update although you have one chance with a .bak file.

Genius guys! Thanks. All OK now and no screwdrivers (or sledgehammers Smile) required.
