Can’t play any recordings anymore

Don’t know what happened, but I sat down to play some recorded shows and nothing plays. The screen goes to black and nothing else. You can stop and resume but nothing shows up on the TV regardless of the recording. I rebooted the server and it didn’t help. Out of the blue, what could this be?

Could you have installed anything that installs a MPEG2 decoder? Try explicitly setting it on the playback tab of the Config, instead of relying on the 'System Default' setting.

I dont install software on that machine. It is dedicated to GBPVR. I use the Hauppauge 350 out.

what does "no connection can be made because the target machine actively refused it" mean

It means the client cant talk to the recording service.

I had to move the 350 to a different slot and now everything works. Have heard of this but never experienced it till now.
