That last set of logs you posted still show it set to the original device, not the Angel. Reproduce the problem with the Angel and repost the logs.

The most recent attempt doesnt get as far as trying to use the angel capture device:

2009-01-23 21:58:38.234 VERBOSE [1] GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.

You havent setup your EPG in your capture source.
