HP AVC-3610 and IR blaster

I'm trying to get this dual tuner set up and am coming across a problem. I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing but I can't seem to figure it out.

I'm using the dual tuner to control 2 STB boxes. Currently I have set up 1 capture source (I'll do the 2nd one later) for the unit and am able to watch live TV. The problem I have is changing channels.

When I press the button on the remote to change the channel, the on screen display changes the channel the is displayed in text at the bottom of the screen but the STB does not change channels.

Following a suggestion from another thread I used a digital camera to verify the the remote was actually working (you can see the transmitter light up) and it was. But when I used the camera to looked at the IR blaster to see if it was transmitting the transmitter was not lighting up.

I currently have the capture source set up as follows:

Source: S-Video, External Tuner

EPG Source: XMLTV Plugin...
XMLTV File C:\EPG\xmltv.exe\xmltv.xml

Channel Changer: MCE2005 IR Blaster Plugin...
Device Profile: My Device
Device Blaster: Both Blasters (I tried blaster 1 but it didn't work so I thought I would try 'Both Blasters'

Is this the correct configuration for the AVC-3610?
What am I doing wrong or missing?

The 'MCE2005 IR Blaster Plugin' was never really completed. You should use HIP or IR Server Suite instead. I'm pretty sure there is instructions on the wiki for setting these up.

Thanks. I'll look into these and let you know if I have any further problems.

Using HIP, I was able to only use port 2 for blasting. I think that's a HIP problem though...you might want to try eventghost or IR server. I'm not using blasting myself, I just wanted to see if blasting would work. Eventually though, I'll have to switch over.

Ok I have change the Chnnel change to ".exe changer plugin" and dinstallled IRServer but I'm still having problems.

In the Input Service configuration I select Microsoft MCE for both receive and transmit.
In the Translator, I imported the gbpvr.xml.zip (gbpvr_mce.xml) configuration file. and went to IR Commands to teach it the STB codes. When I click new and learn it does not seem to recognise that I am pressing any buttons.

Any one have any suggestions on how to get the the AVC-3610 to actually change channels on my STB box?
