Has anyone managed to get the computer power on function working for scheduled recordings?

My compro DVB T300 will power up automatically when using the Compro DTV scheduled recording but I cannot see how to get this feature working with GBPVR. GBPVR will wake the computer if the power is on but will not start the machine.

I think the Compro cards have a dedicated connection to the power on button?? (ISTR my S350 had this). However GBPVR doesn't support it.

I guess hardware is needed to get it to startup from full power off and it is supplier specific.

I put my machine to sleep with Windows hibernate and GBPVR will wake it up fine.

Yes, the case front power switch leads connect directly to the Compro TV card which has leads to connect to the motherboard power on connectors.

The effect is you can turn the computer on manually via the case switch OR the Compro DTV program can turn on the computer to record a scheduled program and then turn off when finished.

You can also turn on the computer using the IR remote.

If GBPVR does not support the power on then I will use sleep as you suggest. I am not sure what difference in the power usage is between sleep and power off - but any saving has to be beneficial.

Great function, just a shame they cannot get the sound sync right!
