I've just finished a clean install of GBPVR (along with fresh drivers etc.) after a catastrophic failure involving Windows Update (don't ask).

I am now missing a mux (Mux D broadcasting from Rowridge UK). Prior to my woes Mux D was picked up fine. In fact running ScanBDA it reckons I'm getting a strength = 4000 and quality = 100% so why would GBPVR miss it?

Any ideas?

Did you try an 'all regions' scan?

Just tried - no joy :-(

It still doesn't find any of the channels on that mux.

I expect sub's next response will be to ask you to post your logs - always useful Wink

Cheers,

Hi Amused,

I got an interesting email from the Digital TV people tell me this week they are 'updating the configuration' for that Aerial, and after the weekend we'd all need to rescan to get the new channel layouts....

Might be this ...

@sub - FYI, MUX D on Rowridge is 570MHz. Check Amused's config.exe.log from this point...
Code:
2009-03-18 23:39:28.344    INFO    [1]    Tranponder information for: C33,570000,0,0,8
The service information logged after it doesn't make any sense.

The logs indicate you're getting a lower signal strength for this mux than the others. Not knowing the range, I cant tell how much lower, but it is lower. Maybe this is causing it to not be able pickup the channel information.

Thanks for the help. Turns out one of the TV at the far end of the house can't pick up Mux D either. While the TV in the same room as the PC is fine I'm guessing the TV Cards are more sensitive (along with the TV with the longest cable run).

Rowridge has work planned for the 25th March as far as I can see (Thanks for the info Richard) so maybe they've turned down the power or something prior to the work. I'll wait and see what happens when the config of Rowridge happens and maybe I'll have to spend a happy half hour on the ladder up with the ariel.

Thanks for all the help.

Simon
