Hello all- My setup is a laptop with a Pentium 4 3 Ghz with 1.5 GB Ram running v1.3.11 on XP Pro connected to a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1950 on analog cable. My issue is that the hard drive led flashes on about every two seconds as long as the GBPVR Tray program is running. If I change the Logging Level in config from debug to error, the drive light still flashes a little bit slower at a little over 2 seconds intervals. If I right click in the tray to close it, the repeating flashing stops, but then I can no longer capture a signal. Is this supposed to be happening? Do I need to be concerned about hard drive wear? Since I'm running on a laptop, I can't add another internal drive. Otherwise everything runs so well, I'm considering making another donation!

I'm not aware of anything happening every two seconds. Does the problem go away if you kill GBPVRTray.exe?

Yes, ending GBPVRTray.exe makes the light flash go away and I am able to watch and record. Sounds like I should take it out of my Startup?

It might be logging performed by your firewall software, or maybe some antivirus software monitoring?

Grab yourself a copy of FileMon it should show you what file is being accessed.

( hmmm, maybe updated with http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysin...96645.aspx )

Yep, it was the firewall. I'm running Zone Alarm, which has no identifying name for GBPVRTray.exe, so I denied it access inadvertently. Once I allowed it access, the hard drive light blink went away. Thanks!
