Does the Config apps Misc tab -> "Enable screen saver" option get affected by the Windows screensaver options?

I believe it's referring to the GB-PVR's internal 'screensaver'

Any idea what idle time is required for the GBPVR screensaver to kick in? Is it password protected? Should the Windows one be disabled? I want to make my HTPC more secure.

Look for <ScreenSaverKickinSeconds>120</ScreenSaverKickinSeconds> in config.xml. It is not password protected.

Most people disable the windows one as they use a remote control to work gbpvr, can't enter a login password on one of those Smile

One could enter a GB-PVR password with a remote like SMS entry on a cell phone; SearchWiz plugin does this! Could you alter your ScreenSaver plugin to use the GB-PVR idle time, and add SMS entry to input a password to resume operation?

Also, you could easily alt-tab or windows key out of GB-PVR to the desktop. Not very secure.

Would you send me your screensaver source, and I can get JavaWiz's SMS entry source, and add to your screensaver plugin to make it have a password and use SMS entry to input the password to unlock Windows?
