No Live TV - Just black screen

I just upgraded my PC, and re-installed everything.
Now I no longer get live T.V. from the program.
I did a complete copy over of the setups too, and everything seems to be where is should be (or at least where it was before).

It might be worth trying to run ReRegisterFilters.bat as a first step:

I got mine all up and working, I can hear fine but it just is a black screen . As well as when I use the program tuner or find channels, I can see them fine but cannot hear them

That is most likely indicating you dont have an MPEG2 decoder installed on your machine. ie, you'll probably find 'system default' is the only decoder option you have listed, but there is no decoder installed, so nothing to act as the default.

So i got to get a hold of a MPEG 2 decoder...I thought that when I upgraded my XP to SP3 that it had a MPEG decoder on it...was i wrong?

Whats a good decoder?

XP doesnt include any MPEG2 decoder.

You can download one from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm. Instructions are on that page for how to install it.

I get black screen w/sound going from timeshift to live mode. This also happens after recording when returning to live mode.
