Play back recordings

did u set PDVD8 as the prefered playback decoder in config.exe?

no it din't appear and that seems to be part of my issue

Can you provide small *.TS example?

fredo its the h.264 part of the playback tab that you need to select (advanced codec)
ps sorry for sending you crook with the codec pack i read it wrong and thought it would work i use powerdvd8 and know it works

if it doesn;lt appear (in the H.264 playback tab) you may need to add or edit the name of the filter in config.xml.

Though I thought that if it was the default decoder it should just work anyway.

Sub says

if you have the one that comes with PowerDVD8 then you'll need to add "CyberLink H.264/AVC Decoder (PDVD8)" to the <SupportedH264Decoders> setting in config.xml to get it to show up as an option in the config app. If you've got some other Cyberlink H.264 decoder, then you'll need to add its name instead.

You can use a tool like the directshow filter manager from www.softella.com to check the name.

here is a copy of the file it's a TS file and well as i have said i get the sound but no PIC yet via wint tv it works in HD with great sound

OK I have uninstall everything and re installed along with PDVD8 full ver everything worked correctly
