Newbie: Channels are missing...

New to gbpvr, I need some help with channels (germany).

My config:
Win XP SP 3
GB-PVR v1.3.11
Hauppauge NOVA-HD-S2 (detected as HVR 4000); digital recording

The automatic scanning process found more than 1000 channels some are listed as "unknown" though. I am able to view, hear (and record thru the common and the web-client) some channels.

But the popular german SAT1, RTL (Super-RTL) and ProSieben channels are missing (though the software that was included (CyberLink PowerCinema) has found these channels).

And funny thing is that their AUSTRIAN counterparts are shown...

What is wrong?

According to kingofsat the channel entry for "Kabel1" in the scan-1.cache file should look like this:

T:12545,H,22000,34~NID:1~ONID:1~TSID:1107~P:17502~V:767~A:768~L:ger~PMT:98~TXT:34~PCR:767~N:>Kabel1
(edit: the HTML seems to insert a space after P:17502~V " "; however there is no space in my cache file)

I am not sure about the "34" but it seems to be a coded value and other german channels (e.g. VOX) had the equal number here...

The originally frequency is 12544.75 MHz - i rounded it up to 12545, correct?

Btw. it seems that this channel is on Astra 1L (19.2°E) which is not noted in the 0192.ini DVB-S file (and therefor not scanned during initial search?).


I can see the entry in the capure source (config) but it wont show up in my video live view (and thus i can not record anything of course)!
(edit: i can see the text entry in the box "Kabel1", however I can not see a preview video)

The main point I need to make sure right now: Is the information I added in the cache file correct (i.e. does anybody get a signal with this)?

I am now in a region where the program crashes continuesly, ie. after editing the 0192.ini and do a rescan etc.

I would love to have some support!

Maybe try the patches from the survival guide thread if you havnt already installed them.
