Live TV and Recording don't seem to work.

I am new to GB PVR and have done the following:

1. Installed a WinTV-HVR-950Q and tested it outside of GB-PVR
2. Installed version 1.3.11 of GB-PVR
3. Set up an account with schedules direct
4. Added a capture source (see attached picture labeled gb-prvr-
configuration-capture-screen.jpg)
5. The digital source configuration is set up as shown in the attached file
(gb-prvr-configuration-capture-screen-digital-source-config.jpg).
Note that the drop downs for Country and Region have no options to select
other than shown.
6. Emptied my epg (clicked "Empty epg") button on the "Edit Recording
Source" dialog
7. Selected all the channels in the "Edit Recording Source" window
(see attached picture labeled gb-pvr-configuration-capture-edit.jpg)
8. Clicked "Update EPG"
9. After making sure all the channels were checked again, I clicked the "Map digital channels to epg channels button"
10. The result was the following screen shot (mapped.jpg) which appears to show a running tv show...
11. I then exited by clicking ok several times, stopped and restarted the service and ran pvrx2
12. I get nothing on either tv guide or live tv
(see tvguide.jpg and livetv.jpg)

I am totally stumped. I am attaching the images, plus the log files. If anyone could help, that would be GREATLY appreciated

It looks like you havnt actually mapped your channels. ie, when you got to the 'map digital channels to epg channels' screen, you need to click in the 'tuning request' column next to each channel you want to map, and select the channel it is mapped to. Your screenshots show these mappings left blank.

That worked, except that I get no sound. I can record, and view live tv and tv guide, but its awfully quiet =-)

Any thoughts?

you need an AC3 decoder: http://www.ac3filter.net. it will also decode MP-2 audio, so you can select it for both audio decoders on the playback tab.

Its probably a case of just not having an AC3 audio decoder installed. Google for ac3filter.

Got it! It worked!

One final question....

Trying to get this to work w/my popcorn hour...

All i get is a "mini" version of the screen and
nothing seems to be able to play except for the tv guide.

Any idea?

Could I suggest you try this question in the NMT sub forum http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39 mvallevand will see it sooner there & bit more information about your mvpmcx2 install would probably speed finding the answer up a bit. Did you use the mvpmcx2 dummies guide to install?
