I recently updated my computer and lost all of the recordings listings. I can't see anything there. Is there a way to restore the info?

Make sure they are on the same drive and directory and try importing (with config) the recording-dump.xml (or .bak) file in the gbpvr program directory. These are created when the automatic EPG update runs.
If this doesn't work or they are too old and have been overwritten with blank ones then a restore of the database from a backup or check the wiki for mpegimport utility http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/MpegImport (there may be later tools that do similar.)

i've written a little batch program that extracts all the metadata.xml ADS from the recordings, if existent, creates a recordings-dump.xml from them and imports that.
start with
Code:
reimportrecordingswithmetadata.bat <recordingstopdir>
it probably just needs to be adapted in case you have other filetypes than mpg or avi.

I ran the batch and it created the xml file, but it didn't automatically import it. How do I manually import it?
