Hi

So heres the story, installed Office 2007, it installed .NET 2, in an update it decided to install .NET 3 (so both are now installed), i then installed Microsoft Expression Web 2 which installed .NET 3.5, ive found out i cant uninstall .NET 2 and .NET 3 until you uninstall from 3.5 then 3 then 2...

Whats with this, .NET EATS space... ideas anyone? what can i get away with here?
Many Thanks
Ashley

It depends on the applications I've found.
Some work with the latest version of .Net but some may need a specific version.

Me, I'd uninstall all version of .net, install the latest and see what happens. But there again, I use the older version of office that was pre-.net

When you say eats space ... are you sure??? I've got 1.0, 1.1,2.0.3.0 and 3.5 on my dev laptop and .net is only consuming 248Mb of space which for a bunch of class library is lots but how much space is yours.

And yes you have to uninstall 3.5 first since .net is partly replacement libraries but also each new release offers new functionality over the above the last version so with 3.5 you have to uninstall it first....
