I have my TV setup as a 2nd monitor on my GBPVR machine. I have an LCD monitor as the primary. The LCD sits on my desk next to my work computer and I use it as a 2nd machine (using Synergy to share kybd and mouse) for websurfing - IM stuff like that while I work on my main machine.
I installed a free version of Nero that came with a DVD burner I bought. The software was useless and I uninstalled it in a few days. Since then video will not play correctly on the lcd monitor. GBPVR through the tv is unaffected. Video played on the lcd is cropped or enlarged or both. If you were to watch a clip of the Daily Show you would see John Stewarts mouth and nose and nothing else.
This happens with all software - Windows media player, VLC, Irfran View etc. Even some web videos do not display correctly. The rest of the display renders normally. Only video is affected.
I didn't notice the problem until months after I uninstalled Nero, so too late for a system restore.
I would like to fix this without screwing up my GBPVR install which is working fine. Any ideas?
