Hello,

I'm living in The Nederlands and a look for some shop to buy a Hauppaug MediaMVP. Can somebody tell me where I can buy a MediaMVP (Wireless or Wired)? I have already search the internet, but i can't find a shop to buy.
I have also send a mail to different shops those sell Hauppauge products, unfortunately the tolt me that they can't deliver a MediaMVP. Sad
I look also at http://www.tweakers.net and http://www.kieskeurig.nl for a shop. My search for 'MediaMVP' give no results. Rolleyes

I hope somebody can tell my where i most look or where i can buy a MediaMVP.

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

Hugo

Hi, the MediaMVP is an old device now for SD viewing only and most people are buying for now and the future with HD media extenders like the Popcorn Hour.

I guess the only place to get MVP's if you really want one nowadays is on ebay or something like that.

Thanx Martin for your answer. I'm now looking for the E-Great EG-M34A. Have you some experience with TV-cards? I'm looking for the Hauppauge PVR-500 (dual). Think you that this is a good choice? Or is the Vista Viewer Saber HB-220 a better choice? I'm new in the MediaCenter World! Wink

I wil setup a PC that run GB-PVR and want to stream live TV (2 or 4 channels) at the sametime to different tv's (bedroom and livingroom). Also i want to record live TV at my pc wise i can start from my pc and from my TV (E-Great). Can you help my with select a card 2 channels is enough but 4 channels would be very nice. I have 1 pci slot and 2 pci-e slots free.

Thanx a lot!

In my opinion, you will get the best support (here and with other software) if you go with a Hauppauge TV device.

Do you get TV from a roof top antenna?

Yes, it depends very much on what you are receiving - analogue aerial, digital aerial, satellite from a set top box (STB) or cable. This is what will decide what tune you need.

Thanx guys for all your help. I have at the moment a analoog cable signale. In the future i want mabey switch to a digital signale (KPN digitene, IPTV, Ziggo Digitale TV, or somethingelse). I find it difficult to make a choice, there are a lot of options. I have no idea whats is the best.... The Hauppauge cards are a lot of options, the most have only one tunner. I want to multi-channel support at one signale (example: 2x analoog or 2x DVB-T). I hope that you guys can help my.

I was hoping one of your locals would pop in and answer some of your questions as different countries have things arranged much differently.

If no one pops up, maybe try a new thread with a title like "Which is best tuner(s) for Nederland".

Hi, check my signature for working solutions on Ziggo. Althought Ziggo is a crappy company, unfortunately there's no better alternative. If you're still viewing on a CRT TV, you can start of with an analoge card, but as soon as you start viewing on a flat screen, digital is the way to go. And the cheapest way for now is using a DVB-C card with a card reader and MDAPI. Sub is investigating support for multiple recordings on more than one DVB card with MDAPI. Should that be possible, you can expand the number of DVB-C cards and use only one subscription card. Check out this thread: http://zepman.tweakblogs.net/blog/2228/z...de-pc.html. Although it's for MediaPortal, it explains a lot about MDAPI and Ziggo.

The FloppyDTV and FireDTV are no longer manufactured
I have now 2 PVR500's (see my signature). Any suggestions if I want to switch over to Ziggo digital?

PS: Martin got mvpmcx2 working on all resolutions including PAL on component (see separate thread) so I have no need any longer for my 2 MediaMVP's so if anybody is interested give me a PM.
