Hi Everyone,

we have a couple of channels in Germany that "switch over" at certain times of the day from, for example, a kids channel to a documentary channel.

Is there any way of telling GBPVR that a certain channel is only available on the transponder from 06:00-21:00, and that during the rest of the time a different EPG source takes over?

Thanks,
Dane

There are a few in the UK that do that as well.
I just have them as two separate entries in the source with their own EPG and the EPG is blank for the times they are off the air.
I guess it depends on how and where you get your EPG from (I used the broadcast one for these part-time channels).

I do the same for the shared UK channels - have two channels each with their own EPG entry (which I get from the RT XMLTV). When browsing the LiveTV channels you effectively get two showing the same thing, only one ever having something showing on the EPG, but that's not really a problem. They all record and display fine that way. Note though that I did have to scan them twice - once when each was on air. To start with I used one scan for both channel entries and while LiveTV worked fine it wouldn't record off the one that didn't have the 100% correct tuning info and resulted in 0 byte recordings.
