I could change this, if you play from GBPVR but given that the dumb idea of using Exit (which isn't even on the NMT remote) as Stop is one of my pet peeves in GBPVR it's not going to happen.

My question is to change the PCH interface not mvpmcx2 through some hack or so. I use a universal JP1 remote with 6 devices and the exit button is mapped to the Return button on NMT remote which works as exit in mvpmcx2 (I like that). The NMT Return button does not stop playback, only stop does.

I know what you wanted, mvpmcx2 does monitor the remote while the NMT player is playing if you are using the GBPVR interface.

I just voted for volume up/down. I currently use the volume control on the remote even though the audio is run through a reciever.

I have a PCH A100 and a EGreat 34a. One thing I like about the egreat remote is the current volume control. I actually like the feel and button placement on the egreat remote better than the PCH remote, but the missing keys on the egreat remote is a problem though.

steveum, I agree the location of Page Up/Down on the EGreat M34a remote is quite effective configured for either volume or paging. One of the prime reasons for this upcoming release is to make sure that EGreat users will get full GBPVR functionality from the basic remote. Because EGreat users are going to need to create configuration file anyway, the default won't matter too much.
