I noticed today that Syabas is reacting to Stu2j's constant complaining about the PCH by saying they will be during more to support SwissCenter

Please don't let the squeaky wheel get the grease.

That being said I did add partial support for simese this weekend so that SwissCenter users didn't need to run two web servers.

Yeah but basically all we can do it "Can you contact the developer of gbpvr (sub) and emveepee as well, as they have been waiting for xxxx features so that they can also provide all of this functionality".

At least they would know you are out there. I assume a lot of you want to autoload mvpmcx2 too and that is in their control.

Actually I'm not telling anyone to do anything. If you do make any comments, feedback requests etc on your own, I think it is a really good idea to identify yourself as a GBPVR user.

I agree it's hard to let the Syabas people know that we're using GB-PVR, particularly when most of our discussion is over here instead of the NMT forums.

It might be useful for GB-PVR users to update their profile signature on the NMT forums to mention GB-PVR. This way it will at least be visible when you make any future posts are made on the NMT forum.

As far as my wishes for changes from Syabas that would help alot with GB-PVR....

The more unlikely distant goals would be: Syabas to provide info about the Sigma SDK so that we could develop out our own playback functionality, allowing for OSD, comskip, normal GB-PVR skipping behaviour etc.

The more likely goals would be: ability to request audio files or playlists to start playback in the background allowing UI to continue to function, support for "resume" in a forum usable by 3rd party apps (mechanism to query play position + mechanism to specific start time with playback request), ability to request a smaller buffer size, etc.

I recently roared my voice about GBPVR but in a polite way, on the popcorn thread. I just hope that everyone sees the value of Subs, and Martins work and let Sayabas know how important this feature is to you and your continued use and perhaps further purchases.

I would buy another one for the bedroom, if they just got their act together to give some guidance to you guys to implement GBPVR better with the PCH

Well i hope everyone here who has a PCH voices their sentiments

I've been voicing mine ever since I got one (mostly about the timing issues they have when playing TS - and some mpeg files). It's good to see other gbpvr users over there.

The suggestion to mention gbpvr in our sigs was good since it can help Syabas realise that a significant segment of their customers purchased the devices specifically to use as an HD capable GBPVR client - I wish I had done that earlier.

Some insight into Syabas' weighting system.

Quote:we can only do a sampling of issues/request on the forum, and most of the time it depends on the "loudness" of the noise on the forum that determines its priority. At moment, a big weighting is given to the beta-testers feedback in a closed forum.

Anybody here a beta tester?
