Did you re-read my earlier post when you asked for tips? It's probably the related to the second sentence.

Quote:Also NMTInstall might not set the Interact With Desktop or Firewall setting properly I don't have 64 bit to test. That sentence? I'll fall back to XP (thankfully I installed on a separate disk for just such occasion). I'll check my firewall settings there & make sure everything matches. I saw exceptions added for PVRX2 in my firewall - I'll check to make sure everything else matches. Thanks

Doesn't appear to be a firewall issue, I turned off the firewall altogether, but still get a blank screen.
I also verified that the recording service & pvrx2 are permitted... Oddly enough, I can view photos fine. Just no video or music. Anyone else running Win7 x64?

Did you also look to see if the GBPVR Recording service has Interact with Desktop checked? This would stop the GBPVR web service from starting. Audio and video are streamed by the web server pictures are not. If it still doesn't work upload your logs. Martin

I flipped back to windows 7 & verified that "interact with desktop" was checked.
However, I went back to play a recording to have something to point to in the logs & it was working. The only change I made was to add two of my 4 tuners in. Previously, I had been attempting to play from my "videos" & "music" folder. Is it possible that having no tuners defined would prevent the web service from functioning? Regardless, it appears to be working now.

Glad you got it. This isn't the first time that I've read with a 64 bit O/S that the web server started working after a period of time. There might be a reboot needed,

I'm having troubles getting the webserver to run in Windows 7. Can't even connect to it via localhost. Tried disabling firewall (just as a test)...still nothing....suggestions?
I've tried using both the default port and a manually specified port since I have 2 other webserver programs currently running on other ports...nothing seems to help. Is there another windows' service that I should see running in services.msc other than the regular GBPVR recording service?
