zotac fanless w/pcie16x 330

here's a nice new variation from Zotac guys...and i see it's fanless and a 330 atom and has a pcie mini slot *and* a pciex16 slot too..

so a very expandable little system there...could actually get 2 tuners in it..
[and one could be a 2250, pciex1 works in x16 slots]

and here's a nice little case to stick it in...brushed black aluminum...

That definitely sounds like a nice motherboard, and something I'll consider. I'm also waiting to hear more about the pending ION2 boards.

I really want a dual core, fanless model.

I have one of the older Ion 330 boards from Zotac. It's not really fanless. The little fan that is included screws into the fins on the heatsink. At least that is waht the manual says and that's how I set mine up. I've never tried it without the fan to see what the temps migbt be if I ran it fanless.

I am happy with the board even though it's not silent.

I've tried it without the fan (IONITX-D-E). Temps jumped to 80C within 20 minutes of booting the computer. Iirc, room temp was 25C. Temps were still climbing up when I shut it down.

I know I'm getting old but I only see a pciex16 slot on that board.

Edit: NM, the wireless card is plugged into the PCIe mini slot. Unless there is an adapter of some kind for it though, I don't see it as much use for any tuner card due to it's orientation.
