I don't know if its possible, but I would like to do the following:

My computer with GB-PVR is in my basement. Wired up and recoding.
I watch the recordings upstairs via a Popcorn Hour.
I usually have a laptop available next to me upstairs.

Just wondering if there's a way to use the laptop to surf TV guide channels and select recordings for the basement PC?

Trying to do this the easiest way possible for my wife.

Thanks,
Jamie

I'm confused, why not schedule recordings with GBPVR on the Popcorn Hour?

mvallevand, it sounds like what I need is possible...
I didn't know I could set that up on the popcorn.
How do I do that?
Do I need to load GBPVR on the popcorn? I don't have an internal hard drive.

Thanks

Ah, yes I focused in on "laptop" like a laser and missed the popcorn hour bit.

The PCH can act as a client for GBPVR running the full interface (Guide, Video Library, Music Library, Recordings, etc). See the stickies at the top of http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39 for how to set it up.

maybe he wants to surf the interface while he watches on the pch?
in that case just setup the laptop as a client alongside the pch for the regular pvrx2 interface...
or like he said use EWA if you don't want to install anything..

Going by this:

Setting up the client on the PCH would not be the easiest for him initially (but not that difficult) but the end result would definitely be the easiest for day-to-day operations and have a much higher WAF.

mvpmcx2 Appears to be exactly what I need.
Thanks!
I was simply trying to a TB guide and and computer interface available on the PCH.
I am in the process of setting it up via the dummies guide.

A few errors at the moment, but this looks like the ticket.

I'm still new... I'm not trying to do anything to exciting Smile

Thanks guys!
