Hi,

If there's a solution for my problem on this forum, I've been unable to locate it.
The OS I have is Windows 7 Ultimate X64, Quad Core AMD64 with a WinTV PVR 150 tuner, nothing fancy.
When I set up a schedule to record, GBPVR wakes up my system and records as it should. To this point everything is great. When I activate LiveTv after a recording has completed whether it be immediate or sometime after, I cannot change the channels until I do a stop start of the "GB-PVR Recording Service", after which everything works great.
Also if I have two consecutive scheduled recordings the second recording will record the same channel as the first recording (not changing channels) unless I manually do a stop start of the service.
This same thing was happening on my old XP SP2 OS Until someone on this forum suggested that I try to use a bat file that GBPVR calls and if there executes the commands contained in it. This worked In the past and I was able to utilize that PostProcessing bat file on my XP SP2 OS to "reset" GB-PVR RecordingService right after record completion.

When I switched over to WIN7 I forgot put that bat file in and it has been working until recently, I wish I knew when it stopped. I've removed and re-installed GBPVR and WINTV drivers and programs. Disabled UAC and I am the Administrator of the system.
I've attached the log files from both scenarios. The one labeled "gbpvrlogs.zip" are logs from the PostProcessing scenario and the labeled gbpvrlogs 2 .zip is without. I hope this will give a clue to what happening.

Maybe try setting <RecycleUSBUIRT>true</RecycleUSBUIRT> in config.xml.

Hi Sub, Thanks for responding so quickly. I thought I'd tried this before but I tried it again and still no channel change after a recording job.

I don't know if it helps but PVRX2 windows shows that the channel is changing when I type the number in but the USBUIRT unit just sits there, no indication that it received a command to do anything.

Are you using the USB-UIRT as both an IR blaster, and an IR receiver?

No, I use the keyboard to manually change channels (no remote). USB-UIRT is used strictly as a IR blaster to change channels on a STB.

It might be worth seeing if the ".exe channel changer" works better. Use the attached. Where the two args would be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\devnz\gbpvr\IR Definitions\USB-UIRT\somefile.dat" {channel}

You're the man Sub! Tried and it works great, seems to be a little slower changing the channel but at least it works and I don't have to "reset" the recording service any longer.

After a 37 year career in the technical end of telecommunications I have to ask, in your knowledgeable opinion, what if anything am I losing using .exe channel changer versus the USB-UIRT plugin? One of the advantages of the channel changer is obvious, it works.

Thanks again Sub for help.

I dont think you're losing anything. Maybe a couple of hundred milliseconds.
