From Habey Products...has dual mini PCIE inside for either capture cards or wireless..
audio not the greatest, but apparently it has headers inside for the others..
[just use hdmi audio!]

it has a nice dual heatpipe architecture that should keep it fairly cool and it completely silent..truely fanless for a change..

4 sata ports inside, tho i'm not sure how you'd use them all...lol [external esata headers?]
but it is kinda roomie inside without bulky heatsinks..[inside at leastSmile]

no room inside for optical disk, but those are easy, just get a slim usb external and place it where you can load it..pc could remain hidden..

they have several other models, and other chipsets also.. i saw a tiny fit2pc sized box but it had no markings on it at all and barely any heatsink visible...can't find it's maker anywhere but i can ask where it's from..didn't even get warm..

well, just thought someone might wanna know...not too many out there are actually fanless..

That looks pretty sweet, and exactly what I was looking for last year. I've got my heart set on pretty much that but with one of the newer ION2 boards. ...Yeah, I know moving target, and I'll never buy anything at this rate. Big Grin

yea, i haven't heard much about them lately [ion2]
at this price it's a deal...

i'd keep Habey in mind for when the ion2's do come out, they seem to have a nice selection and excellent cooling, they seem to like making fanless ones..Smile

the heatpipes or a vertical chimney are the only ways i know to have decent cooling that's actually silent.. i like their other squarish cases...better ports/card reader too..

It's going to turn out to be expensive for just an ION no O/S plus "Notes: This is only computer barebone system, not include Memory, Hard Disk Drive, Optical, and Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse." My beef would be the SPDIF is internal.

It'll probably turn out to be really expensive, but this passive ion2 PC with optical drive sounds nice:

there ya go...just hope it's not more than a arm and three toes...Smile

and yea, it does ramp costs up if you don't already have all that other stuff..

seems they also have some sort of special GMA 950's that have hardware decoding?!? several secondary models with just hardware decoding added and hdmi on a gma950...hmmm....maybe special edition chipset? gma950 comes in several vers.
[mobile/GSE/etc.]
i bet it's a gma500 or variant..[which is actually very nice for video, maybe better than 4500hd]
tho i have seen several laptops that seemed to have enhanced gma950's that would do hd easily...but not h264 like they say is accelerated..

aha! they're using a secondary decoder chip.. BCM70012
Broadcom decoder chip from the looks of the drivers..
includes a directshow filter and media foundation transform filter, and says it supports certain apps like:
Windows Media Player 12, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Theatre (OEM edition) and CyberLink PowerDVD (OEM edition)
tho notably no VMC mention..
[me thinks the OEM editions are tweaked editions not available in retail...special]
blah...compatibility issues...tho it may work well...i suspect it'll be like old sigma chips..
