I set GB PVR to record five movies in the last week. Two seem to have come out successfully, but three have much shorter recordings than they should.

These three seem to have failed:
The Matrix Revolutions (2003): Should have total recording time of 150min + 30min padding, but file only has 141min.
M-Sin City: Should have total recording time of 158min + 30min padding, but file only has 10min.
M-Confessions of a Dangerous Mind: Should have 135min + 30min padding, but file is tiny.

I've zipped and attached logs. I don't have a clue why some of the recordings have botched up and others have succeeded. Would love to hear any thoughts you might have - thank you!

(I'm running GB PVR v1.4.7 on W7.)

I checked one of those recordings.

According to the app, it recorded the 'The Matrix Revolutions' from 8:20pm - 11:30. Is that times you expected it to record? If that was correct, but the recording file contained a lesser period of time, then I can only guess your device lost the signal at some point during that recording, so stopped delivering data to GB-PVR.

Thanks sub!

Matrix Revolutions: Yes, those were the times I expected it to record. I'll go with your guess then: the signal must have dropped out.

Thanks so much for your help!

I'm curious as to what recording format you use (mpg, ts, dvrms etc) I sometimes got truncated recordings, but after changing to .ts all I seem to get is a glitch but it carries on.

I record in MPG. Perhaps I'll try your suggestion martin123, and change to TS...
