Audio missing only on certain shows

Hello, I've been using GB for over one year now. Great program, great support forum. I really enjoy the program and comskip for pvr.
I currently have a problem that it seems no one else has had.

Recently our cable here has gone digital for all but local channels. . . I have my haupauge 2250 set to capture analog and dig channels (no STB). . .

Two recently digital channels I enjoy have certain shows where no audio is present. Other shows on same channels (E & FX) have full or partial audio (commentator but no main audio or visavera), but a few shows have no audio at all.
This is for recording only, as I've never gotten live tv to work with GB- analog or dig, ever. (the live tv is still curious to me but must be a simple software conflict since analog live tv has always worked in wintv.)
*These two channels (and the rest) come in fine using my TV w/ dig tuner. The TV is how I got the channels# for digital mapping in GB.

it's most likely the decoders being used in gbpvr..
tho could be the audio of channel you mapped..[if there's duplicates of the channel, difference is usually audio]
have you tried playing the recordings with another player like mpchc or vlc?
try different ac3 decoder..
i use ffdshow's audio decoder, but mpchc decoder works very well also..

Thankyou for the reply. I'm currently trying both of these ideas. SD and gbpvr's channel setups seem ok- no overlapping channels. All 50+ other channels work correctly with the exception of the digital ones being slightly quieter than the analog.
I tried fddshow for the first three options in config-video audio and aac- with no effect. (tried them one at a time and all together.) started trying some of the others like nonssintervideo and mainconcept for the audio and aac. didn't work. actually seems to be causing program freezing. I will also try the advanced settings below. Currently everything is on default and all but E and FX work properly.

When mapping digital channels to epg lets say you select 80.4 for E.
This set of numbers is automatically selected then for that channel: T:80,0,0~P:4~TSID:33086~V:2368~A:2370~PMT:54~PCR:2368~N:>80.4 Unknown7* (000(AC3))

Could there be a problem with this automatic process? Maybe the A:2370 should be something different? I don't really understand what these mean or why they're needed. The television tunes correctly using 80-4 , 80-5, 80-6 etc. Is this for different countries possibly?

Oh, and yes, I have tried WMP and GOM player to play the recorded vid of problem channels with no sucess.
I will also DL and try VLC.

yea, it's most likely the mapping of channels...best to use the scan feature to find actual channels..[lots of info needed as you saw]
it's not finding the audio tracks of the channel..[there may be more than one audio type associated with channel]

the version coming out soon may have some changes in scanning area, so check back for latest version..

I have had an issue with certain ATSC channels where some of the channels actually have no sound. One station listed 5.1 sound but the center channel had no audio so my TV (which is the center channel) was mute until I turned on the stereo for the surrounds. Annoying.
