EPG Continuous Updating

As NPVR is now always in ts mode and appears to be updating the epg fairly continuosly would it be possible to do away with the nightly epg update - having a process to keep the latest info and alocating recordings to tuners etc. running in the background either continuously or on a preset time scale (every 20mins or something)?

No. Not practical without major changes.

Oh well t'was worth a try!
Maybe a new feature in the replacement for NPVR

Suppose I had better try harder to get what we've got already more reliable.
