I've been using the Cyberlink PDVD10 decoder to play BBC-HD h.264 recordings, but noticed they tended to be a bit jerky (dropped frames?). I tried using MPC to play the same files and they were definately smoother. Looking at the original PDVD graph, I noticed that the average frame rate was only about 16. Whereas MPC was hitting 50.
When I looked at the graphs, I noticed that the MPC was using the MS DTV-DVD filter. However when I change to that in N-PVR (and in GBPVR) I just get a black screen, although the graph shows everything is loaded.
I notice from the forum that other people are succesfully using the MS-DTV filter. Any suggestions where to go next? npvr log attached.
This is on a D525 Atom/Ion2, W7P client running a locally stored copy of the H.264 BBC HD recording.
The recording plays fine on a PCH.
