Yes, it is stable now. I do not remeber the specifics about the config if I changed anything. But the problems where more than likely related to other hardware conflicts. Like IRQ conflicts. I moved a tuner from a PCI slot to another and deactivated some internal devices. Seems to have solved most if not all of those problems.
The only problem that still occurs sometimes is that the USB/serial adapter to the card reader goes into some kind of sleep mode at random times. I have set the USB hub to not go into sleep mode, but still it happens. And when it does the USB device is reporting 0 mA current usage. Normally it is 90 mA. The only way to reset this is to unplug/plug the card reader and restart newcs. Very strange behaviour and I suspect some kind of hardware problems here as well. Any hints how to solve it is very welcome.
