Hello Friends!
It's Zehd (Frank Zeritsch) from the GB-PVR forums with an important UPGRADE Notice...
I have recently updated Ultra to 2.1 and I have decided to phase out 2.0 by disabling its online look up. I will be doing this within the month. I wanted to give notice so that we all have enough time to update before the older version is disabled.
Upgrade Instructions
1. Visit http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/UltraXMLTV and download the latest zip file
2. Copy and overwrite all the files from the zip file into your C:\EPG\UltraXMLTV folder or wherever you have Ultra installed
3. Run Ultra, and then click the manual tab, and then click the "Update UltraXMLTV" button
4. That is it. When next you run Ultra, either manually or automatically in your EPG Update, Ultra will work as normal
Reason for Update
The reason I am forcing an update is simply internet bandwidth. Over the last couple of years, the server has received several Gigabytes of data. Most of this data was redundant. The regular downloading of stale files, and daily uploading of the same data over and over is really something I wanted to avoid... and that simple redundant action also slowed Ultra down...
I've improved these mechanisms, and made the program far more stable.
Unsubscribe?
I would imagine that there are few of you who looked at UltraXMLTV only briefly, and then decided against using it. If you are not interested in any further work or communication, please let me know, and I'll permanently remove your email from the list..
Feedback
As mentioned, I know that there are some of you that only looked at the software, and decided not to use it. Would you mind saying why?
Thank You For Your Support
There have been many people who have supported this project over the last couple of years. Some have donated their time in testing and others have donated money.
Thank you so much for your support!
