A couple of NPVR newbie questions ...

I have a working GBPVR installation working with a Haupage Nova II viewing FreeSat -- and have just discovered NPVR. It looks very interesting :-)

1. Am I correct in assuming that NPVR is a replacement for GBPVR??
2. Will NPVR work with FreeSAT in the UK??
3. Can I still use the same source of EPG data that I used under GBPVR??
4. Can I install NPVR on the same box as GBPVR and switch back and forth for testing??
and, Is there anything to watch out for if I do this??

TIA
Dave

DUH!!! I just spotted the "sticky" ... looks like it answers all of my questions :-)
Sorry - bad day.
Dave

However - if anyone has any advice on these questions I'd welcome input.

Since this isn't any type of "supportquestion" i moved this to another topic. Wink

The "sticky" you mentioned is full of worthy informations. If you have any specific question, then you're welcomed to ask anytime. =)
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

You've probably found answers to all your questions already, but there are several of us on the forums using combinations of gbpvr and npvr to watch freesat - or various combinations of UK free to air sat channels so ask away if you get stuck. Answers to all 4 questions is yes. Smile I'd recommend installing npvr on the same box so you can play around with it and only switch whenever you are happy. I ran them both for ages and used gbpvr as the master, but have just this last week switched.
