Changing Recording File Name

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was a way or method to allow me to adjust or change the file name of recordings.

Regardless if I use the Guide or Manual recording, the file name always follows this convention:

"ProgramName_Date_StarttimeEndTime.ts" or "Family Guy_20101204_16001630.ts"

Using utilities such as UltraXMLTV, one is able to set additional information displayed in the guide, such as Season and Episode numbers (ex. 607...season 6, episode 7), which would be handy to have if you collect a large external media collection and you want to integrate the recordings with the collection.

Is there a setting somewhere in nPVR that will adjust the output file name to include other fields?

No, there is nothing built in that would do this.

Svart, you probably should look at carpeVideo's GuidePlus http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/GuidePlus it includes a rename function.
