choosing recording file format

just made my first recording - plays back fine - very impressed with the quality.

File format is .ts - is there any setting that I can change to save the resulting recording as a different format? i.e. as an mpeg or avi?

looked through the wiki but could see nothing.

no, NPVR only records in .ts format. if you want to transcode it into another format you can put the necessary commands into a postprocessing.bat file. some folks use ffmpeg, I've also seen talk of using handbrake cli
