Playing digital radio recordings

I don't know it it's possible without the service type but can digital audio recordings be played like listen in the guide. I created some XMLTV files manually to record some radio programs and this part works great but playback with a blank screen for an hour is boring and the NMT doesn't like video files without video.

When I was working on porting DVB Radio to npvr (currently shelved indefinitely), my intention was to use a utility in postprocessing.bat to check the channel number to see if it was a TV or radio channel. If it was radio, I was going to transcode the audio to mp3 in my 'music' folder and then delete the original recording so it no longer appeared in the Recording or Video screens in npvr. Maybe you could try a similar process.

I did end up using ffmpeg -i xxxx -ab 192k --ar 441000 yyyyy but as you wrote since it is an audio file I had to move it to a new location, delete the recording in NPVR and the delete the copy after listening. It was nice have it is the new recordings list too.
